Access key data to help you assess your analysis area easily and directly, such as traffic counts, origin-destination, real-time traffic tracking, turn analysis and much more.
Traffic counts - AADT & ADT
The average daily traffic is a key measure of the volume of vehicles on a road or roadway. It represents the average daily number of vehicles passing over a stretch of road and is a measure that allows an easy and direct comparison of traffic. Fill data gaps on all the roads you need for your project or business with our accurate traffic volumes and get AADT counts without the need of deploying devices in the field.
Origin - Destination between zones
Understand where traffic is coming from and going to from anonymised data.
- Trip matrices for any customisable study area and zoning system.
- Choose the study period you need.
- Understand mobility evolution across years with historical data.
- Valuable insights into travel patterns by hours.
- Access to O-D matrices, regardless of the size of your area of interest—whether it’s a whole country, a city, a neighbourhood, a small undefined area or a single roundabout.
Origin - Destination on routes
At Datfor, we don’t just stop at the standard origin-destination analysis; we go a step further by conducting O-D analysis on roads, offering a comprehensive range of analysis services to meet your business needs. Whether you require insights into the utilisation of different competing routes, a detailed study of drivers’ preferred routes between an origin and a destination, a comprehensive analysis of trips between customised areas, or a precise examination of immediate O-D sections or links, we deliver accurate and efficient results. Utilising cutting-edge Floating Car Data technology, we ensure rapid analysis and customisable options to meet your specific requirements.
- Customise the locations of your analysis and evaluate any route between regions, cities, between different links on roads or bridges, car parks, shopping centres, between intersections or any area, zone of your interest or road sections at any level worldwide (check availability by country). Available for any period up to the past two years, at any time of the day.
- Perform any O-D analysis with a high degree of detail for your traffic and mobility study analysis. Analyse the areas of influence of a retail location, study the immediate O-D at roundabouts, intersections or streets, evaluate points of potential interest for the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector and many more uses in multiple sectors.
Turning movements & junction analysis
Datfor’s turning movements & junction analysis helps traffic planners and engineers to manage the road network more efficiently and gain real-time insight into mobility patterns. Whether you need to analyse a signalised or non-signalised intersection, Datfor provides real-time indicators of how a junction performs to provide accurate, reliable and immediate information to meet your needs.
Without the need to deploy any sensor or cameras in the field, avoiding manual data collection, and based on Floating Car Data (FCD), Datfor provides information on speeds, delay times, travel time, queue lengths or turn ratios in each movement, among other indicators. Get Level of Service throughout the day for your intersections and optimise your traffic flow or improve signal timing.
Get the information you need to help optimise traffic signals, optimise intersections and roundabouts, monitor roadways using Datfor’s analysis of turns or measure performance of traffic during road works, among other use cases.
Speeds profile and journey times
Get insights into the traffic situation on the road network throughout the day at segment-level. Perform the analysis of travel time and speed distribution (percentiles) for a specific area or route.
- Access recent or historical data up to 10 years old, customising which dates you need to evaluate by time slot.
- Sample application:
- Provide actual driven ground truth speeds and travel time data, along with road network characteristics for use in transportation models.
- Measure travel times on a route.
- Before and after studies. Analyse the effect of seasonality, transport policies, incidents or events (e.g. demonstrations, sporting events, roadworks) on traffic congestion or traffic density.
- Identify changes in the network (street closures, changes in traffic direction, etc.),
Datfor metrics facilitate the evaluation of road conditions saving time and money. This information can be accessed rapidly and without the requirement for specialized equipment in the field.
Having reliable, up-to-the-minute data has never been so easy and quick to achieve. Global analysis at your fingertips—check availability by country.
Trajectories - trips passing through a section
- Analyse flows through a specific road section. Our trajectory analysis allows you to identify the origin and destination routes taken by users crossing any section of the road of your choice.
- Analyse any type of road (urban, inter-urban, regional, national or international), for any time in the last two years (specific date or a complete aggregated period). Analysis available internationally, check availability by country.
- Analyse the origin and destination routes of unique locations such as airports, shopping centres, stations, etc., the evolution of trajectories throughout the day or the O-D differences between employees and users. Obtain trajectory information as input data for a transport model or to support the calibration of transport models.
- Evaluate which routes are the most used for the analysis of services such as petrol stations, electric chargers, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.
